On January 1, 2016, the City of Austin, Texas introduced the EasyPark Personal Parking Meter as an additional parking payment option available to visiting suppliers, contractors, and other short-term users.

EasyPark includes a credit-card–sized electronic device that can be preloaded with parking value and functions as an in-vehicle parking meter. Featuring an LCD screen and four functional buttons, the EasyPark device is designed to be intuitive and easy to use for drivers—while helping reduce capital and operating costs for the service provider.

In addition, PELAGUS IT and PARX provide the EasyPark Mobile pay-by-phone system, a comprehensive enforcement solution, and advanced parking management analytics.

PARX is represented in North America by Smart Parking Solutions Inc., Canada.

PELAGUS IT and PARX SPS, together with our partner TIS Park, have secured a contract with the City of Vlora (Albania) to launch a full-scale parking management program starting on May 1, 2015.

EasyPark Mobile, a fully integrated parking fee collection and management solution, has been recognized with the Bermuda 2013 TechAward for “Most Innovative New Mobile App.” The annual TechAwards celebrate outstanding achievements in information technology across Bermuda.

Commenting on the award, Ofer Tziperman, CEO of OTI, noted that the recognition reflects the company’s continued focus on innovative, cashless payment solutions built on patented technologies. He added that OTI’s parking technology helps municipalities offer drivers a simple and modern payment experience while supporting higher revenues and lower operational overhead – highlighting that EasyPark’s footprint expanded rapidly, reaching 160 municipalities in 11 countries at the time.

Norris Ebbin, Director at Agility, emphasized the significance of the award for Bermuda, saying it validated the local service offering only a few months after the initial EasyPark Mobile rollout. He also pointed out that EasyPark Mobile quickly became a strong complement to the EasyPark in-vehicle parking meter—together forming a comprehensive solution for Bermuda’s parking community.

PELAGUS IT and PARX SPS, together with our partner Agility Ltd, launched a full-scale parking management program for Bermuda, covering the complete island, including Hamilton and the airport.

The rollout introduced the EasyPark Mobile pay-by-phone solution alongside EasyPark Personal Parking Meters (PPMs), giving drivers multiple convenient ways to pay for parking. The initial phase focused on on-street parking management, with both IVR and SMS interfaces available from day one to ensure broad accessibility for residents and visitors.
